The 2026 season invites listeners into slower, more meaningful conversations where the story itself is the lesson.
If you’re in transition.
If you’re questioning what’s next.
If you’re doing “fine” on the outside but searching on the inside.

Episode 59: Finding Your Creative Spark Again with Filmmaker Nathan Woods

On this episode of Inspired to Soar with Hannah, Hannah sits down with filmmaker and visual storyteller Nathan Woods a creative whose life has been shaped by skate culture, illness, community, and the quiet moments where passion finds its way back.

Nathan’s story starts on the Mornington Peninsula, where he grew up drawing, sketching, and seeing the world through an artistic lens. In the early 2000s he picked up a camera and started filming his mates at the skatepark. What began as fun turned into a 16-year journey documenting sponsored and emerging skateboarders and creating projects that captured more than just tricks, they captured stories.

But when the world shifted, friendships, routines, health, Nathan stepped away from filmmaking entirely. For a while, not even having a camera felt normal.

Then something unexpected happened. A gifted camera. A new skate crew. A moment that reminded him who he really is. And his passion returned, not through pressure, but through truth.

In this episode, Hannah and Nathan explore:
  • Childhood creativity and the early pull toward storytelling
  • How skateboarding shaped his identity as a filmmaker
  • The illness that isolated him from 16 onward — and the diagnoses that changed everything
  • Creativity as a lifeline through mental and physical health challenges
  • The powerful role of community at Moonah Arts Collective
  • His friendship with Redro Redriguez
  • The making of the documentary See Me and what it taught him about grief, legacy, and art
  • What it’s like to walk a red carpet… and then let go of the pressure afterward
  • And why his new documentary on artist Shân Primrose is the next chapter he’s meant to tell

Nathan’s story is a reminder that creativity doesn’t disappear, sometimes it just waits for us to be ready again.
If you’ve ever lost your spark, doubted yourself, or wondered if it’s too late… this conversation is for you.

Radio Western Port · #2 Inspired to Soar With Hannah with guest Jyee from - WOLFPACK SUPPORT SERVCES

Episode #1 From Lost to Lifted –
Jessica’s 110kg Weight Loss and Journey to Self-Love

Welcome to Inspired to Soar with Hannah,  the podcast where raw stories become roadmaps to healing, growth, and transformation.

In this powerful episode, I’m joined by the amazing Jessica, a woman who once struggled with self-hate, health problems, and isolation. Four years ago, she made the brave decision to reclaim her life. Through consistent effort, a mindset shift, and a whole lot of strength (physically and emotionally), Jessica lost over 110kg naturally  and gained a whole new sense of self-worth.

Now, she’s on a mission to become a personal trainer, helping others love themselves and reach their goals,  just like she did.

✨ This is a story of transformation. Of rediscovery. Of hope. And it’s one you don’t want to miss.
